Hard Hat Tours
Sunday 19th July saw 100 (soon to be) residents and their families take a tour through their new homes. With social distancing rules being carefully adhered to, the new residents walked through their apartments and the community spaces. All wearing hard hats, high vis vests, and face masks, they were able to see first hand what their new home.
Many were in awe of the size of the cinema room and lounges as well as excited at the prospect of playing billards with their fellow neighbours. And, with an artist or two among them, the craft room was of particular interest.
Feedback was amazing – some people were so happy they burst into tears about how beautiful their apartment was and how much storage was available. The quality of the building work is incredible with may saying they felt like they were in an up market hotel.
The guests and Catholic Healthcare staff mingled untill well into the afternoon and with the sun shining down on them, it was a perfect opportunity to chat with their new friends and neighbours.
49 apartments have now been secured and we will see the first new residents move into their homes in early Spring.
